Beyoncé is an R&B recording artist. She began her career in the late 1990s as the lead vocalist of one of the best-selling American bands of all time, Destiny's Child. She has sold 75 million records worldwide. Beyoncé has earned numerous awards, including 16 Grammy Awards, 11 MTV Video Music Awards, and 4 American Music Awards. In 2010, VH1 included her on its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Beyoncé's first concert tour was in Europe, where she performed in more than 9 shows in 2003. In 2007 she embarked on The Beyoncé Experience tour, performing a total of 97 shows.
