On ne compte plus ses Juno, ses disques d'or et les nombreux autres prix qu'il a reçus depuis son premier album, en 1970, mais une chose est certaine : en 40 ans, cet intronisé du Canadian Music Hall of Fame (2001) n'a pas cessé de nous épater ! Slice O Life, paru en 2009 n'est rien de moins que le 30e album du chanteur canadien Bruce Cockburn, en plus d'être son tout premier album solo live. Après l'avoir présenté dans une salle intime en 2005, les organisateurs de Jazz à l'année n'avaient qu'une envie, celle de revivre l'expérience dans la magnifique ambiance de L'Astral !
