About Beirut

Beirut is an American indie-rock band formed in 2006. Their music combines elements of Eastern European and Balkan folk with Western pop music. Beirut's debut album, Gulag Orkestar, was released in 2006. The band's first performances were in New York, to support this album. The second album, The Flying Club Cup, was recorded in 2007. The Rip Tide (2011) is Beirut's third studio album. Top songs: Elephant Gun, and The Flying Club Cup.
